The chef at Playa Viva creates healthy Mexican fare sourced from Playa Viva’s organic farm and local farmers, and can adapt menus for Vegan, GF, DF or other dietary restrictions.

We’ll explore Playa Viva with the Permaculture Team during our visit to learn about how they work to increase food sovereignty, regenerate degraded landscapes, and build community. Playa Viva models how to live our values.

Reconnect to the earth through tea.

Playa Viva Permaculture Farm workers will help us gather gather ingredients during our farm tour, teach us about their medicinal properties, and host a tea party for us.

We’ll even create our own special blends to take home.

Sweat, JOY, purification, and CLARITY await us at Playa Larga’s Temazcal (“sweat lodge”).

We’ll be treated to an indigenous purification ceremony guided by a local female shaman who helped create this sacred space.

Experience a deep connection to the elements of fire and earth, and to your own healing nature.

Practice: twice daily yoga and meditation sessions led by an experienced and caring teacher.

Take refuge in your practice and deepen your connections to self, community, and Mother Nature.

Each year, turtles come to lay eggs on the shores near Playa Viva, and if Mother Nature wills it, you may have the opportunity to release protected hatchlings with the staff of La Tortuga Viva (see additional activities).

Your retreat package includes a donation to Playa Viva’s Regenerative Trust that includes support for La Tortuga Viva and the broader community of Juluchuca that staffs it.

Your Retreat Package includes group transportation to/from Zihuatanejo Ixtapa International Airport (ZIH) to Playa Viva and all local transportation for scheduled group activities.

All optional activity fees include local transportation arranged by Playa Viva staff, so all you need to do is reserve your room and book your flight.

After arrival, add a massage, surfing, snorkeling, a mountain excursion, sport fishing, or other activities.

Playa Viva staff will help you arrange all optional excursions and local travel.
